You can sign a document electronically using biometric or digitised signatures, which are fully legally valid.<\/p>\r\n<p>Yes, of course. You can sign a document electronically even if you do not have a digital certificate. To do so, you can use <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.viafirma.com\/en\/biometric-or-digitized-signature\/\">digitised or biometric signatures<\/a>.<\/strong> These are handwritten electronic signatures that do not require the use of certificates, but rather a device capable of capturing a large amount of biometric data from the signatory.<\/p>\r\n<p>If you do not have a specific device for this purpose either, there is another option for signing documents with full legal validity. For example, you can capture a <strong>handwritten electronic signatur<em>e<\/em><\/strong>, together with <strong>electronic evidence<\/strong> (such as an SMS OTP, email OTP, etc.), which allows the signatory to be uniquely identified via their smartphone.<\/p>\r\n<p>In both cases, the signatures captured, generated and stored contain sufficient data to be considered an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.viafirma.com\/en\/faqs\/pades-pdf-advanced-electronic-signature\/\">advanced electronic signature<\/a>:<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>It uniquely identifies the signatory<\/li>\r\n<li>A unique link between the signatory and the signed data<\/li>\r\n<li>The signature must be capable of determining whether the accompanying data has been tampered with after the message was signed.<\/li>\r\n<li>Guarantee that the signatory is the only person capable of generating that signature<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p>The Viafirma product suite includes all the signature features listed above.
