If when you enter in any web with Viafirma Fortress Desktop, for example the DGT web, the centralized certificate doesn’t work, in order to detect the problem you must make the following checks:
- Uninstall the application ‘Viafirma Fortress Desktop’ and install the last corresponding version that you will find in the Viafirma Fortress page in the following section:
- Check that the Viafirma Fortress icon appears in the notification area of the task bar.
- Double-click or right-click to open.
- Enter your username and password to access.
- Now, introduce the PIN
- Check that your certificate(s) is/are displayed and click on activate.
On the other hand, it is necessary to confirm that the following steps are correctly performed to authenticate on the DGT website:
- If you have installed any antivirus temporarily disable it to perform the test.
- From Internet Explorer or Google Chrome (Firefox is not supported) go to Sede electrónica DGT-Consult your points.
- Click on “Consult your points with certificate”.
- In the list of certificates the previously activated certificate is displayed.
When you select it, a Fortress Desktop window appears asking for the pin (it may ask you twice).
The points you currently have should be displayed.
