Yes, and this has important operational implications. If twelve months pass without the alias being used, an automatic end-of-use date is applied. It may also be cancelled at the request of the holder, due to the loss of the registered provider without appointing a new one within one month — we would notify you if this happened with our provider — or by CNMC resolution due to misuse.
