However, to collect biometrics during a signing process, it is necessary to have external devices capable of capturing this biometric data. In a face-to-face environment, it is easy to control the devices used for signing. In a remote signing scenario, we cannot guarantee that the signer has the appropriate hardware to capture biometric data during the signing process.
